Meet the Team - Crystal Elsten
March 31, 2021
As we have reached the one-year anniversary of the initial COVID shut down and we start to return to what feels to be a new normal, we are excited to be seeing our visitors returning to the building. That being said you all might not recognize us or be able to place what we do for the facility. We thought it would be the perfect time to re-introduce you to our team in the building and share a bit about ourselves.
With March ending, it is the perfect opportunity for us to introduce this individual to you as well as offer our thanks and gratitude to them.
Let us start off by saying we will never be able to thank this individual for everything they do for the residents we serve. Countless hours of their time and dedication are a large part of us being able to accomplish the things that we do. Please meet Crystal!
Crystal is the charismatic, compassionate, and downright wonderful person who serves as our Social Services director. She has spent a number of years working with our team and is responsible for many items including overseeing our 360Care services, discharge planning, and genuinely being an advocate and listening to our patients and their needs.

While her current passion within long term care, Social Work was not her first introduction to this setting. In fact, Crystal served previously as a State Tested Nurses Assistant for over 12 years. Most of that time was spent in the long-term care setting and was how she found her love for working with this population. So much so that she then went on to earn her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati.
Of course, she does not spend all of her time at work. Outside of our walls, Crystal is an avid reader. Typically flipping through the pages of s Stephen King novel or something similar that has a bit of mystery and thrill rolled in to one.
Again, we will never be able to thank you for all that you do Crystal. But THANK YOU and Happy Social Services Month!
