The Heart of a Facility

When people learn of Florentine Gardens, one of the first things they become familiar with is our out of the box Happy Hour “visitors” we get every Friday. Those “visitors” are all thanks to our amazing Activities Director, Billie Tussey. Billie has been on staff with us since 2018, quickly turning the department in to the heart of the facility. She is in fact coming up on her third anniversary with the building.

In the time she has been here, Billie has become a friend and familiar face for all of our residents, visitors, and staff. She goes beyond the call of her department to ensure that everyone in our building feels welcomed and appreciated. Offering many her time just to listen or to offer a source of laughter when needed.



If you have never been able to cross paths with Billie, you need to know a few things. First, she is never in the same place long. With so many things she wants to accomplish throughout her day she is always on the move. Second, she is a mother and wife at home; often invading their living spaces with the creations, she comes up with to bring smiles in our building. Third, she is hands down the biggest French bulldog lover out there!

This past week was the Ohio Health Care Association Activities Professional’s Week and we could not pass up the opportunity to recognize Billie for all of her hard work! Please join us in thanking her for all she does for everyone in our Florentine Gardens community!
